Role specific purpose:

Purpose:

The content team at Manchester City continues to grow rapidly, creating daily video content ranging from TikTok clips through to feature length documentaries and live content production output. We require a production runner to work as part of the production operations team, providing essential production support to our teams, across all stages of our content production.

We are looking for a highly organised Production Runner with technical knowledge, to maintain our daily camera maintenance, provide essential production support and assist in our media management workflows.

Role specific accountabilities:

Increase the efficiency of the production team by logging, maintaining, and testing a wide range of innovative camera equipment. This will include Lumix S series feature cameras and lenses, a variety of gimbals, external 4K recorders and accessories.

Assisting the production team in the upkeep of our video archive system, with daily logging of video clips and knowledge (and ideally previous industry experience) with video metadata and media management.

An enthusiastic worker who has evidence of experience in a fast-paced media environment, this can include industry placements. This role will involve assisting on a wide range of different shoots and having to work at short notice with some evening and weekend work essential.

General daily production support including prepping filming kits, moving equipment at short notice, and assisting with our guests/talent.

Role specific knowledge, skills and experience:

Essential:

• Exceptional organisational skills and experience of maintaining camera equipment.
• Detailed knowledge of different filming techniques and media asset management.
• A passion for filming innovative video content, keeping up with current trends and new equipment.
• A creative thinker, willing to improve existing processes and contribute ideas.
• Evidence of excelling in a fast-paced demanding environment.

Desirable:

• Degree in video production or related field.
• Industry placement experience at a sports/ media organisation.
• Industry experience of logging, clipping and exporting a large number of video assets.
• Use of internal data bases, word and excel.
