Press Assistant Role
Full-time, 12 month
Key responsibilities:
- Diary Management for Head of Programme Publicity, Drama and Soaps, and setting up meetings as required.
- Updating and maintaining the ITV/ITVX media database.
- Issuing press releases and monitoring media interest therein.
- Arranging travel for actors attending press events and the Press Office team.
- Event organisation – Setting up press screenings, from inviting journalists through to ensuring the event runs smoothly; Can include liaising with venues, external agents and PR’s to ensure all arrangements are in place for the event.
- Working with external PR’s where necessary and ensuring programmes are available to view on the Press Centre.
- Cutting clips for publicists.
- Writing press packs which includes interviewing high profile actors.
- Maintaining stationery and office equipment
- Acting as the main point of contact with journalists and assisting/redirecting enquiries.
- Main point of contact for raising PO numbers and paying freelancers and external contractors.
- Managing press office credit card and clearing expenses.
- Managing holiday/absence charts for the press office team as I do that across London, Leeds and Manchester.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:
Minimum role criteria:
- Able to demonstrate strong administrative experience.
- Proficient with different computer systems.
- Extremely organised and efficient.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets.
- Willingness to work flexible hours within the needs of the business.
- Excellent diary management.
