Job Role: Copywriter
We are looking for a creative copywriter to join our fast growing brand. This role operates across the whole business from marketing campaigns to digital ads and SEO focused articles, we’re looking for someone with a passion for pooches to dive into this multifaceted role. Our ideal candidate has a fun and engaging writing style, with the ability to simplify scientific information to help educate pet parents about their dog’s nutrition and wellbeing.
The business is remote first and run by a small, talented team. The successful applicant will report to the Head of Brand and will work and collaborate with the eCommerce, Marketing and Sales team.
You will be responsible for:
• Writing clear, engaging copy in the Pooch tone of voice
• Collaborating with designers and other members of the team on large and small scale marketing projects, including brand campaigns, email copy and landing pages
• Editing and proof reading copy
• Using SEO principles to maximise copy’s reach
• Conducting high quality research and interviews
Skills
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• An understanding and practical application of SEO best practice
• Strong research skills
• A creative mindset
• Ability to collaborate and work well in a team
• Excellent organisational skills
Requirements:
• Degree level qualification in marketing, English, journalism or related field
• Minimum 3 years previous experience in a similar role
• A strong and varied portfolio of case studies across listed media
• Particular experience of digital marketing and advertising
• Must combine creative flair with attention to fine detail
• A personal interest in health / wellness would be beneficial
